Welcome to Project CRISS. Our staff is eager to answer your questions about our program, to help you in setting up trainings for your school or district, and to assist you in the materials you will need for a successful implementation of Project CRISS.

Dr. Carol Santa DR. CAROL SANTA, original developer of Project CRISS and Master Trainer. Currently, Carol is the Director of Education at the Montana Academy, a school for troubled youth in Marion, Montana. In addition to CRISS, she has written the literature-based language arts program Pegasus II, published by Kendall/Hunt Publishing Company.
Lynn Havens LYNN HAVENS, Past Director of Project CRISS and Master Trainer. Before her involvement with CRISS, Lynn taught mathematics and science at the junior and senior high schools in Kalispell, Montana. Although she is retired from running the program, Lynn stays involved through workshop presentations; helping out in the office, as needed; and writing. She is the co-author of Project CRISS for Students I: It's a Brain Thing ~ Learning How to Learn! and sole author of Project CRISS for Students II: LEARNING To Succeed, semester curricula for teaching the CRISS principles and strategies directly to students, grades 6-9 and 8-12, respectively.
Debra Franciosi DR. DEBRA FRANCIOSI, Director and Master Trainer. Deb coordinates the day to day at CRISS, is editor of the CRISS Crafter newsletter (for trainers), and provides trainer and teacher support. Prior to joining Project CRISS, she helped design and open a technology magnet high school, served as a Secondary Literacy Specialist, and taught middle school English, language arts, and social studies, and high school reading in Oregon.
Anna Deese Anna Deese, Associate Director and Trainer. Anna manages trainer certification, is editor of the Comments from CRISS newsletter, and provides trainer and teacher support. Before coming to Project CRISS, Anna served in the Army National Guard, worked as a management and IT consultant, and taught high school biology, anatomy, and earth sciences in metropolitan Chicago and rural Oregon.
Stacy Liebig STACY LIEBIG, National Training and Materials Coordinator. If you want to set up a CRISS training in your area, Stacy can help you. In addition, she provides general information and processes all orders for training and support materials.
Darlene Treweek DARLENE TREWEEK, Accounts and Shipping. Darlene provides secretarial support for the rest of the staff and handles the packaging and shipping of orders originating from our office. She is also in charge of all accounts payable and receivable.
